Why I love this time of year (minus the cold weather)....

Because of the SHOPPING

Ohhhhhh and its My BIRTHDAY month!!!!!!!!!

So, the weather here lately has made me want to throw away some dust collecting cloths that seem to take up room in my closet and for what reason I still don't know. I hate getting rid of something and then wishing I never had, but with what I've seen online lately at a few of my favorite staple stores I don't think I would mind too much. That is of course if I was able to get rid and revamp :) Check out these awesome things that caught my eye online. They will be making it to my Christmas list for sure!!!!

I can't of course forget about my birthday that was earlier this week. I got great things. Some Riding Boots, courtesy of my parents and a pair of Tory Burch flats from my husband. I also got something domestic people - Real Simple Magazine Subscription.

Thank goodness its now FRIDAY! We are looking forward to a nice weekend of hanging out with friends and decorating our house for the Holiday!

Kit Kat Meets The Ward's

I would say that during a free weekend.....however I guess its not really a free weekend if you head out of town, however a couple weekends ago Daniel and myself decided to get up Saturday morning and drive to Charlotte to meet Kit Kat - which we decided we would nickname Zeb and Jenn's little girl :) Her real name is Katherine! She's such a cutie, with so many people we know having little boys, it was soooooooooooo much fun playing with a little girl and picking out an outfit! She's a very happy little girl for the majority of the time, unless:

A). She's Hungry

B). She has a dirty diaper

C). She wants to see whats going on

Prayers Needed.....

Click Here For Video - Karen Taylor & Chris Raynor
Raynormania - Facebook group dedicated to Chris
Theres no doubt that most of you that read this have heard about the tragic events that took place over this past weekend. Karen was to be married to Chris at 11am on Saturday, September 12th. By reasons unknown to any of us Chris was taken from the world just hours before their wedding from injuries he sustained during a car accident. He was on his way to breakfast with 2 other groomman at the time of the accident. I can not comprehend, just like I know his family and Karen can not comprehend, how such a wonderful day could turn into a tragic day. Its because of Karen and her strength that I understand its God's plan and he and Chris are giving the families strength, especially Karen. Her words of wisdom are amazing during such a difficult time and I praise her for her courage.
Daniel and I are so happy that we were able to get to know Chris and Chris and Karen as a couple this last year. He will forever be remembered at WCU Homecomings for years to come and beach trips with friends. I'm so thankful that a week before their wedding I was able to be with Chris and Karen. I will never forget how excited he was to get married, you could read it all over his face.
I want to thank both Chris and Karen for reminding me not to sweat the small stuff and to not take life for granted. Seize the day, and to find the good in everything. We are here for a short time, some shorter than others. Although I am sad, I'm also happy that I was a part of his life and know that Karen and the lives she's touched (some she knows and some she doesn't) will forever be changed for the good.
Please pray for the Raynor's, The Taylor's, Friends, and Family and especially, Karen.
We will miss you Chris!

New York City

At the beginning of August we attended a wedding in Bay Shore, Long Island, New York. We decided to make a little mini vacation out of it and went up early to visit NYC. Both of us have been before, but never together. Daniel was such a trooper! Followed me around to different stores and let me shop :) I came back with great things thats for sure! The wedding was fantastic. A Fancy NY wedding for sure. The only short coming in our adventure was the 10 hour airport stay on the way home. If any of you know me well, you also know how much I HATE flying. I'm scared to death and very anxious! Our flight was delayed a couple hours but nothing major, we finally got on the plane and had an hour long taxi out to the runway. Everything was great until the started up the engines to take off and the left engine was not working right. As you can imagine, I freaked out. They taxied us back to the gate where we sat on the plane for an hour while they tried to fix it (I was hoping that we were going to spend the night and not try and fly that messed up plane). We were told to get off the plane and stay close because they were going to have it fixed and we'd be on our way - yeah in about 2 hours that happened. We finally made it home at 1:30am instead of our 6:00pm orginal time. What a way to end the vacation, but a lot of fun was had so it made it all worth while. We also received flight vouchers for our troubles! Hmmmmmmmmmm...where to go next? SAN FRANCISCO is my VOTE!

Greensboro = Ladies Weekend

So last weekend was a total girls weekend. Saturday afternoon I attended a baby shower for Christi Hughes (Daniel's College Roommate's Wife). You couldn't imagine all the estrogen in that room. All the ohhhhh and ahhhhh's. Connor got a ton of great things and whats even better is that Connor was born yesterday August 20, 2009. Three weeks early and almost 9lbs. WOW! We've seen pictures and what a cutie. We hope to see him over the weekend when they have time. I'm sure its crazy with family and a new-born.
After the baby shower I headed straight to Greensboro for a Carrie's Law School Graduation Party. All the hubby's decided to stay home so us ladies had a girls night. We ended up going out after the party and had such a good time. We haven't all been together since New Years! I'm looking forward to October when we all get together again for WCU Homecoming. We rented an amazing cabin and will be there all weekend.
This weekend is fast approaching and I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. I'm doing makeup for a wedding on Saturday and then have the rest of the weekend to do nothing. These days those weekends are far and few between. The next couple months are busy so we'll use this weekend to refuel.
PS...Matthew and Jenny (Daniel's Brother and his Wife) find out what they are having today. 6 to 4 its a Girl! We shall see!
